Course Reserves

It's that time of the semester again, when you are bogged down with papers, exams and projects. Sometimes it seems as though everyone in your class is writing about the same topic that you are interested in. The NCC Libraries anticipate that, so along with your instructors, we have placed many items on Course Reserve.

This means that popular items are placed at the Circulation Desk and must remain in the Library so everyone can use the materials. Most Course Reserves can be checked out for a 2-hour time period so that you may take some notes or make photocopies (which cost ten cents per page) of the information you need. Some Course Reserves for this semester include:

  • Fairy tale criticism

  • August Wilson's Fences text and criticism

  • Books on current, controversial topics.
There are many more materials at the Circulation Desk. Your professor may tell you to check out the Course Reserves or you may notice that the NCC Library Catalog tells you that the item is located at the Circ-Desk, which indicates the item is on reserve. Be sure to bring your student ID card, the title of the item you're interested in or your professor's name, and some change in case you want to make copies!

Good luck with your final projects!
