The NCC Libraries are pleased to announce that Rayah Levy, Information Services Librarian at the main campus, will present Black History Month: The Whole World Is Watching on Thursday, February 19, in Room 168 of College Center at 11:15 a.m. Be sure to join Rayah for this informative pictorial tour of the African American experience, which will focus on the ever-changing portrayal of Blacks -- by themselves and by others -- in books, periodicals and other media, from the 17th century to the present day. The historic cover from Ebony magazine featured here was taken from the Black Americans in Congress web site, which includes a fascinating collection of images from African American political history, such as campaign posters and buttons.
